Doreen is bringing the love this week with her Romance Angels oracle deck. She used them a little back in February, and now they’re back. I’m feeling that… After all, we’re rolling into May this week. Summer is fast approaching. Time for some summer L O V E!!
The overriding theme of this week’s reading is L O V E yourself. Love yourself. Do what makes you happy. Be aware of the life you are attracting with your thoughts and attitude. Getting all of that straight will not only make you irresistible romantically, but it will open you to receive new possibilities in all areas of your life.
“Remember that as a child of God you are endowed with greater strength than you will ever need to overcome all the trials that God may send you.
Often we continue to suffer without making an effort to change; that is why we don’t find lasting peace and contentment. If we would persevere we would certainly be able to conquer all difficulties. We must make the effort, that we may go from misery to happiness, from despondency to courage.”
It’s Friday and lookee, lookee what I have for you- tiny bamboo shoes! I’m a life-long fan of ballet slippers. And everything is so much cuter when it’s teeny tiny.
A good friend of mine had a baby princess girl back in January. I’m so happy to have someone to make girly presents for. I’ve had this pattern rattling around my brain for quite some time, and I finally had a reason to get out the needles and make them happen.
The yarn is a bamboo blend. It’s unbelievably soft and light- even for summer! Right now, they are available in Poppy and Orchid. Sizes are 3-6m and 6-12m.
Wouldn’t you love a pair for the baby ballerina princesses in your life?
“The greatest of all enemies of man is himself. More than personal or national enemies, more than germs, bombs, or any other threat, man should fear himself when he is wrong. To remain in ignorance of your divine nature and to be overpowered by bad habits is to make an enemy of your own self. The best way to be successful in this adventure of life is to be your own friend.”
“Your way to bring peace to Earth is to be peaceful.”
That’s a nice thought that she ended with as I was beginning this post.
So… it’s been a week again. I even got a text from my mom this weekend like… ‘RU ok? You haven’t posted on your blog lately.’ Hahaha. The truth is that I vowed to step away from the computer more often during Lent. Well, remember my post about the changes we make during Lent prepping the soil for our intentions to grow? It worked a little too well for me, and I haven’t been able to draw myself back to my computer. Working in the garden, preparing for my classes outside in the sun, training for my first 10K, making monkeys. All these little sprouts popped up, and I’m very much enjoying watching them grow. I’ll have great things to share soon. I promise.
But enough about me…
Doreen is here with the fairies!! Ooooh- I love me some fairies. I’ve been calling on them a lot lately in my adventures in gardening. They are the ‘nature angels,’ after all.
This week’s reading continues the theme that has come up over and over again lately… Out with the old, in with the new. And as many times as it comes up, I say thank you again for reminding me. It’s a process. A process of letting go and being receptive to healing. I am so grateful for these wonderful reminders from the angels every week to keep me on track.
I hope there’s inspiration and comfort for you in these readings, too. Enjoy!
“The joy felt in meditation reveals the presence of Eternal Joy spread over all creation. The light seen in meditation is the astral light from which our tangible creation is made. Beholding this light, one feels a unity with all things.”
So funny that she chose the enormous hisbiscus to adorn her little set this week. I just watched her reading and then clicked over to my blog to see that it had been an entire week since I had posted anything. Last week, the days here in southern California alternated between lovely, cleansing rainstorms and beautiful, warm weather with the flowers coming into bloom. It was just so irresistible that I had to log off and spend some time enjoying it. In gratitude. My rose garden is amazing right now! There are about 6 or 7 different colors of roses, and they smell incredible. Maybe I’ll post some pictures soon…
Anyway, Doreen is working with the Archangel Oracle Deck this week. As I’ve mentioned before, I love that since I have that deck. I can return to the cards throughout the week to meditate on them more deeply.
The card she draws for the beginning of the week, ‘Chakra Clearing,’ not only relates to detoxing the physical body and clearing negative energy from your space, it also features Metatron. The Archangel Metatron has the ability to ‘warp’ time. We can call on him to aid us in finding more time, energy, and motivation for our projects and passions. And couldn’t we all use a little of that? I know I could. In fact, I gotta go… Metatron made me some time for asana with my roses… 😉
