The next Global Sadhana!

The next Global Sadhana begins this Sunday! This time, we will be “Elevating Ourselves, Blessing Our Children.” It is not only for parents and caretakers of children, but anyone who is interested in the upliftment of children worldwide.

The sadhana includes a pranayama exercise, as well as a recitation. Also, check out this video of what Snatam calls “celestial communication” for children. I love it already! I can’t wait to show it to my little man. He loves learning new songs.

I’m very excited about joining this global community to aid children and their caretakers. And it begins on Mother’s Day… such a great gift ♥

Daily reminder

“…Nature with her diamond-dazzling stars, the Milky Way, the flowers, birds, clouds, mountains, sky- the countless beauties of creation- is the Divine Mother. In Nature you behold the mother aspect of God, full of beauty, gentleness, tenderness, and kindness. The beauty in the world bespeaks the creative motherly instinct of God, and when we look upon all the good in Nature, we experience a feeling of tenderness within us- we can see and feel God as Mother in Nature.”

Weekly wisdom from Doreen Virtue

Yay! Doreen brought out the unicorns!

I was just singing “The Unicorn Song” with my little man yesterday. The Magical Unicorns oracle deck that she is using was designed to be kid-friendly- for the the children in your life or the inner children.

I love what she has to say about this week. Mostly, I love to hear that this week is a great time to rest and take it easy. With my race over the weekend, I could use some pampering.

Thanks, unicorns!

Yoga this week!!

Well, folks, I think the time is finally here… I think it’s time for the streak to be broken. The raining on my yoga parade streak, that is. With the spring thus far has come the showers that make the flowers. I’m all for that, of course, but it has made it a little tricky to teach yoga outdoors.

But I think the clouds have finally moved along their merry way, and the sun is here to shine on us.

This week, I will be teaching my regular class on Monday at 10am. Additionally, I will be teaching a special “Mother’s Day” class on Saturday at 10am. This soulful, all levels flow will include aspects to honor mothers, Mother Nature, Divine Mother, a mother’s unconditional love- you name it, we’re bringing it. Jai Ma!

Hope to see you there!

When the wave dances on the sea it thinks it exists as a separate entity. But once it realizes, ‘I cannot exist without the ocean,’ the wave sees that it is the ocean, that the ocean has created a little wave out of itself.”

What’s up in the yoga garden?

take a deep breath.

If I haven’t been around as much lately, it’s because the yoga garden has been calling my name. There’s always something new popping up or some lovely creature dropping by. It’s my favorite- a great place for practicing yoga all year. But this happens to be one of my absolute favorite times of the year to practice yoga and meditate outdoors.

Check out this gallery of what’s been going on lately in the yoga garden… hope to see you here soon!

It’s horoscope time!

Wow! And there goes April in a puff of smoke… poof!

I can’t believe it’s the first of May already, but I have a good feeling that this May will be one to remember- unlike any other before. I’m excited to see what it has in store for us.

You probably know by now that the first of the month is always a good day around here because I get to read my monthly horoscope from Susan Miller’s Astrologyzone. She has the most consistently insightful and accurate horoscopes I’ve ever found. I always feel as if she’s addressing my life directly, and this month is no different.

Big things, big things! See if you feel the same way about your May horoscope.

Daily reminder

“One may gather great wisdom by cultivating the consciousness that this world and everything in it is only a dream. First of all, do not take your earthly experiences too seriously. The root cause of sorrow is in viewing the passing show with emotional involvement. If you continually think to yourself, ‘I haven’t lived as I ought to have lived,’ you only make yourself miserable. Rather, do your best to be better; and no matter what difficulties come, ever affirm, ‘It is all a dream. It will soon pass.’ Then no trouble can be a great trial to you. No happenings of this earth can in any way torture you.”
