With love from me to you… ♥
Happy Friday, y’all!
It’s Friday and lookee, lookee what I have for you- tiny bamboo shoes! I’m a life-long fan of ballet slippers. And everything is so much cuter when it’s teeny tiny.
A good friend of mine had a baby princess girl back in January. I’m so happy to have someone to make girly presents for. I’ve had this pattern rattling around my brain for quite some time, and I finally had a reason to get out the needles and make them happen.
The yarn is a bamboo blend. It’s unbelievably soft and light- even for summer! Right now, they are available in Poppy and Orchid. Sizes are 3-6m and 6-12m.
Wouldn’t you love a pair for the baby ballerina princesses in your life?
“The greatest of all enemies of man is himself. More than personal or national enemies, more than germs, bombs, or any other threat, man should fear himself when he is wrong. To remain in ignorance of your divine nature and to be overpowered by bad habits is to make an enemy of your own self. The best way to be successful in this adventure of life is to be your own friend.”
“Your way to bring peace to Earth is to be peaceful.”
That’s a nice thought that she ended with as I was beginning this post.
So… it’s been a week again. I even got a text from my mom this weekend like… ‘RU ok? You haven’t posted on your blog lately.’ Hahaha. The truth is that I vowed to step away from the computer more often during Lent. Well, remember my post about the changes we make during Lent prepping the soil for our intentions to grow? It worked a little too well for me, and I haven’t been able to draw myself back to my computer. Working in the garden, preparing for my classes outside in the sun, training for my first 10K, making monkeys. All these little sprouts popped up, and I’m very much enjoying watching them grow. I’ll have great things to share soon. I promise.
But enough about me…
Doreen is here with the fairies!! Ooooh- I love me some fairies. I’ve been calling on them a lot lately in my adventures in gardening. They are the ‘nature angels,’ after all.
This week’s reading continues the theme that has come up over and over again lately… Out with the old, in with the new. And as many times as it comes up, I say thank you again for reminding me. It’s a process. A process of letting go and being receptive to healing. I am so grateful for these wonderful reminders from the angels every week to keep me on track.
I hope there’s inspiration and comfort for you in these readings, too. Enjoy!
“The joy felt in meditation reveals the presence of Eternal Joy spread over all creation. The light seen in meditation is the astral light from which our tangible creation is made. Beholding this light, one feels a unity with all things.”
“You must not let your life run in the ordinary way; do something that nobody else has done, something that will dazzle the world. Show that God’s creative principle works in you.”
Here we are again… another week beginning. And once again, the buzzword of the week is ‘change.’ Rapid change. This week, Doreen is working with the Angel Therapy Oracle Deck to channel the wisdom and insight of the Angels about staying afloat as everything shifts so rapidly.
Great, insightful advice beginning to end, but I must say I love what she has to say about the weekend. In case you would like to be outdoors- barefoot and moving- this weekend, I am teaching an outdoor yoga basics class on Saturday (to be rescheduled to Sunday if the weather doesn’t cooperate).
Have a wonderful week, yoga lovers!
“There are no extra pieces in the universe. Everyone is here because he or she has a place to fill, and every piece must fit itself into the big jigsaw puzzle.”
I know it’s the day after Easter, and many of the kiddies will be home from school. Maybe you even have the day off from work?? Doesn’t Monday sound like a great day for yoga outside in the beautiful sun (or clouds… at least it’s supposed to be warm)?
Also, I’m going to give my yoga basics class another go. And guess what?… It’s forecasted to rain. I’m not giving up hope yet, but if we do get rained out again, I’ll reschedule… again. Stay tuned.
