Daily reminder

“The word ‘honey’ isn’t honey. You can study and talk about honey for as long as you like, but you won’t really know it until you taste it. After you have tasted it, the word becomes less important.”

The Siri Gaitri Mantra

Ra Ma Da Sa Sa Say So Hung

This mantra (the Siri Gaitri mantra) has become a daily companion for me in the past few weeks.

Since I received my Reiki attunements last month, I have been paying extra attention to my etheric body and my chakras, especially as I am practicing healing on myself and others. As Ramdesh Kaur states in her article about the Siri Gaitri mantra, it is “a way of raising your vibration to the frequency of Divine Healing.”

Want to learn more? Also check out this great article with an expanded description of the mantra’s universal healing properties and how to incorporate it into meditation.

Weekly wisdom from Doreen Virtue

It’s a new week, and Doreen is here with your weekly guidance from your angels.

Her reading falls right in line with the message that I’ve been hearing over and over lately- Slow down, allow yourself to rest, and spend time praying about what your next step will be. September will be filled with opportunities for action and plowing ahead. Right now, recharge your batteries and be sure you’re prepared when those opportunities present themselves.

Don’t you just love when all of the signals are lining up and pointing in the same direction?

Have a happy and blessed week, everyone. Don’t forget to pause and take good care of yourselves. Doctor’s orders!… or Angel’s, rather.

Weekly wisdom from Doreen Virtue

Sum-sum-summertime.

Can I see by a show of hands who is excited for the summer solstice on Wednesday? It’s one of my favorite days of the year- the longest day of the year! Go, sunshine, go!

I’m still hoping that the gloom dissipates a little so that I could actually see a some sunshine. That would be nice. I taught my class under gloomy skies this morning, but we had a good time all the same. I always love teaching outside on Monday mornings. It sets a good tone for the beginning of the week. Which brings me back to…

Doreen and the angels are here once again to give us guidance about the upcoming week- the official beginning of summer. Such an active, exciting time of the year. See what the angels have to say about it.

Happy Monday!

Let there be grief or anger.
This is the Buddha in all forms,
Sun Buddha, Moon Buddha, Happy Buddha, Sad Buddha.
It is the universe offering all things

Crystal in the spotlight: Chrysoprase

Day 2 and we’re movin’ on up… to a stone that is associated with the sacral chakra, as well as the heart chakra- chrysoprase. Chrysoprase is an apple-green chalcedony (a type of quartz).

Its name derives from the Greek words “chrysos,” meaning gold/yellow, and “prason,” meaning leek. This name refers to its unique color, which is caused by the presence of nickel. The color can be lighter or darker depending on the amount of nickel present.

Chrysoprase promotes abundance and prosperity at the level of the solar plexus chakra, and it enlivens the sacral chakra by drawing out hidden talents and supporting creativity. It also supports “physical creativity,” enhancing fertility.

It is known for other healing properties within the physical body, like stimulating the liver. Like bloodstone, it is a powerful detoxifier.

Chrysoprase also detoxifies the emotional body and balances the heart chakra. In this aspect, it helps the individual to overcome egotism and judgmentalism- two critical steps in embracing the heart chakra’s lessons about universal love. These beneficial properties at the level of the heart foster greater compassion and forgiveness and grow the ability to express oneself without anger.

Additionally, it aids release of emotions that have been stored since childhood and heals the inner child.

On a spiritual level, it brings universal energy into the body and helps us to see our lives and their events as part of the Divine whole. Realizing the role of Divine will in the details of our lives, we are open to greater trust and security.

Daily reminder

“Learn to remove the weeds that have grown in the garden of the mind. Make your mental garden so beautiful that God will come there. If you want to have such a mental garden, blooming in the soil of wisdom, you must make your life simple. By doing everything consciously, not absentmindedly, you can analyze your activities; then choose what is important and cut out the nonessentials. As soon as you are through with your duties, withdraw your mind from them and employ it in other creative pursuits.”

Daily reminder

“We live in a magical universe filled with great forces of life and death, creation and destruction. Divine powers can be found everywhere to lift us into a greater peace and understanding. But ‘undivine’ forces are also ever present, working to lure us into confusion and attachment. Truth and falsehood, ignorance and enlightenment form the light and dark, the illumination and shadow of the world. In this basic duality of creation, we struggle not merely to survive but also to find meaning in our lives. We must learn to navigate through these contrary currents so that we can benefit by the ascending spiritual force and avoid the descending spiritual inertia.”

“Nature herself is the Divine Mother in manifestation and the universe is her play of consciousness. She provides not only material growth and expansion that moves outward, but also supports our spiritual growth and development, which moves within.”
